The marketing team at Charles Penzone plans blog posts in four different categories: trends, inspiration, how-tos and news. All blog content is leveraged via the salon’s social channels—Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest—and drives traffic back to the website. In April 2016, the salon launched Davines’ Your Hair Assistant Line and introduced the products to guests through the blog, “New Rules of the Blow-Dry.”
“The blog had more than 1,198 page views the first week, and within the first month, it helped us realize an added $20,000 of incremental retail sales,” Debra Penzone says.
