The Angel Tree at Progressions Salon Spa Store in Rockville, Maryland, beckons clients to choose a deserving teen in the community and buy them an age-appropriate gift for the holidays.

Working with the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County, Progressions Salon Spa Store in Rockville, Maryland, embraced two community service projects this holiday season. The salon, which is owned by Cindy Feldman, adopted a family in need with two children and provided them with a grocery store gift card for their turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. Progressions also will be supporting the family for Christmas, and gifts will be provided for the family members. A grocery store gift card to shop for their Christmas dinner also will be provided.

In addition, the salon currently is featuring an Angel Tree in the salon’s entry, with the names of 20 teens, both girls and boys in need who are between the ages of 12 through 17.. Salon guests and staff are invited to select one or more names, and purchase an age-appropriate gift. All gifts are to be returned to the salon by December 15th at 5pm for pickup by HOC Special Events Coordinator Stephanie Semones.

The mission of the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County is to provide affordable housing and supportive services that enhance the lives of county families and individuals with low to moderate incomes.

“We are honored to work with the HOC again and support a family for Thanksgiving and Christmas,” says Feldman. “It’s especially rewarding to assist those in need in our community during the holiday season.”
