STAMP 2015: Salon Rootz's Philanthropic Campaign

Angels for Kids

Salon Rootz

Medina, Ohio

Owned by: Jen Tryon and Sheila Barco

Partnering with the Angels for Kids organization, the team at Salon Rootz helped underprivileged kids make a positive, fresh start on the first day of school with new haircuts, school supplies, hygiene products, new shoes and new outfits. More than 40 children arrived at the salon for a red-carpet experience, and eight kids traveled by limousine to Fox 8 studios to appear on a local show. The event was also covered by local newspapers and made national news with a feature on Today’s “Hope to It” series.
