Fierce Femininity Meets Delicacy in Kevin Hughes' Freedom Collection

by MODERN Staff | September 7, 2018

A woman has the choice to be whoever she wants to be,” says Moroccanoil Artistic Director Kevin Hughes. “She can change whenever she pleases and does not have to wear the same hairstyle for 20 years.”

Hughes wanted to create styles that had a fearless touch to them to celebrate a woman’s independence to wear her natural texture or be bold and wear all her hair away from her face.

“Each look is designed to emphasize a balance between fierce femininity and delicacy,” Hughes says. "A woman can embrace her straight hair, yet add some interesting draped detailing in something as simplistic as a ponytail.”
