I've had an exciting career as a magazine editor in an industry I'm passionate about, and I've never looked back. But I have visited those broadcasting friends in their jobs, once even writing a story for a San Francisco-based news station, playing with their teleprompters and learning the mysteries behind the weather maps. And, yes, every once in a great while, I've wondered, "What if?"

Well, with the launch of MODERN SALON TV this week, I've been able to fully explore that "What if?" Editors Maggie Mulhern, Alison Shipley and I hit the ground running with our MODERN SALON TV crews at ISSE two weeks ago and literally didn't stop running the entire show. We interviewed the industry's top celebrities, caught up on the latest techniques, trends and products and worked to capture the energy and excitement of this year's largest West Coast show. And, even though the camera may not be my best friend, I'll admit it was really, really fun.

The people in this industry, though, make it incredibly easy. Most of you are far more comfortable in front of the camera than I am, and boy can you talk--and that love and passion for professional beauty comes shining through. Catch my very first interview with Tabatha Coffey, of Bravo TV's Tabatha's Salon Takeover on the launch episode of MODERN SALON TV. Tabatha may make salon owner quake in their high heels on her show, but she was really easy to talk to and super nice in person.

And, now I have my own little taste of life in front of the camera.... Watch the first episode at www.modernsalon.tv!

I'd love to know what you think, and what you'd like to see next!
