Continuing to expand its reach beyond beauty and into lifestyle, the Oribe brand is excited to introduce a newcollection of candles that showcase the brand’s recognizable signature scent, Côte d’Azur, and its two newest additions, Valley of Flowers and Desertland, in reimagined packaging.
The new candle vessels were inspired by sculptural works, architecture and jewelry design. The bold twisting element blends the modern with the organic and the beautiful identifying-colored domed bases are a unique technical capability of Oribe's European glass partner. The vessel was designed to be displayed as a work of art in the home and is intended to be reused once the candle has been fully burned. The patterns used on the front and back panels of the folding cartons match the resin caps of the new Oribe fragrance bottles.
"At Oribe, all of our design are intentiaonal and when we were designing the candle, we kenew we wanted it to be a showpiece, a conversation starter. It needed to be disruptive," says Jennifer Smith, vice president of packaging for Oribe Hair Care.
Made from a vegan wax blend with coconut and soy with cotton wick, the hand-poured candles relect the brand's commitment to artisanl production and can burn for approximately 50 hours.
The Oribe Candle Collection is launching June 2022 and will be available on Oribe.com and at Oribe salons and retailers.
The Scents
Côte d’Azur Seductive and effervescently fresh, the Oribe signature scent embodies the classic glamour and heat of the French Riviera. The scent creates a sensual and invigorating experience featuring citrusy Calabrian bergamot, white butterfly jasmine, or la mariposa blanca (the Cuban national flower, a nod to Oribe Canales's heritage) and the creamy warmth of sandalwood.
Valley of Flowers A modern interpretation of a lush floral scent, Valley of Flowers immerses the wearer in a fragrant field of fresh blooms. A harmonious blend of Bulgarian rose, peony petals and warm amber creates a dreamlike place that evokes the feeling of a morning walk through a sun-drenched garden.
Desertland Bright, crisp notes of juniper berry, desert wildflowers and Texas cedarwood embody the essence of a blooming desert, transporting the wearer to a peaceful and powerful place. This aromatic scent was inspired by Daniel Kaner's trip to Marfa, Texas, and captures both the sandy heat of the day and the cool vastness of the still night, a scent that only nature can produce.
For the best experience, trim the candlewick to 1/4 inch before each use. Discontinue use when 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Once your candle is finished, find a stylish second life for the vessel.
