The day before the official opening of an event is typically when organizers get, well, organized, sponsors set up their booths, and early-arriving attendees pick up their badges at registration. This year's Data-Driven Salon Summit was so packed with content and valuable networking time, we shifted some events to check-in day.
Wayne Liu of Perfect Corp hosted an AI Playground that walked attendees through new AI features designed to delight salon and spa clients while encouraging them to book services and purchase retail. Attendees got to experiment with virtual hairstyle and hair color try-on, AI skin analysis, and personalized recommendations. After a short demo, Liu walked attendees through a step-by-step process to build their own AI experience using Perfect Corp's APIs.
Then, the Data-Driven Salon Summit Welcome Reception, sponsored by Phorest, encouraged guests to greet old acquaintances and make new friends, all set to the festive sound of live Irish music.
