The beauty industry’s favorite social network, Instagram, has answered every salon owner’s prayers by unveiling its newly launched account-switching feature, reports digital expert Valorie Reavis of Linkup Marketing.

Following months of testing and repeated calls from Instagram addicts, the rapidly growing network has now made it easy to switch between personal and multiple business accounts, keeping pics of the kids-in-the-tub separate from all the amazing creations produced in-salon.

Instagram is the social network of the moment. It overtook Twitter during 2015 and now boasts more than 400 million users worldwide. Even before that particular victory, data analyst consultancy Forrester reported, as long ago as 2014, that for brands using it, Instagram delivered 58 times more engagement per follower than Facebook and 120 times more engagement than Twitter.

For those keen to jump ahead of the competition and get absolute control over their posting action, the process is easy. IG lovers just have to log into their account, glance around for the account tab and select the gear at the top to see Options. Almost at the very bottom of options, there is now a simple ‘Add Account’ tab. Tap it, and up pops the standard login screen to enable the addition of another account.

Once logged in, users can switch between accounts by tapping on the triangle at the top.
