Beauty Changes Lives

Beauty Changes Lives, founded by Bellus Academy’s Lynelle Lynch, raises the awareness of how careers in the hair, beauty and wellness industry transform lives personally and professionally. The non-profit was established with the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) in 2010. It is supported by a coalition of beauty professionals including educators, product manufacturers, celebrities and industry icons. Through events and education, Beauty Changes Lives showcases career opportunities available to beauty school graduates. Raising more than two million dollars and offering 56 scholarships, Beauty Changes Lives is supported by the following:

· Come2Gether 2014, hosted by Bellus Academy and featuring hair industry pro, Stacey Broughton

· A $1.5 million grant from P&G and Wella, awarding 20 scholarships, funding  50 percent of a recipients’ cosmetology school tuition

· Massage Therapy Education Scholarship in partnership with Massage Envy, awarding six $2,000 scholarships
