George the Salon in Chicago has introduced a new service, the Signature Citrus Crushed Pearl Massage, featuring crushed freshwater pearls and a blend of lime, mandarin, grapefruit and lemon oils, lotions and scrubs.

“A beauty regimen worthy of the rich and famous, this moisturizer can only be described as a positively decadent way to replenish deep hydration all over your body,” says George the Salon’s Lead Massage Therapist Maggie Klasa.

PROCESS: To begin, a fresh infused essential oil and lime blossom body scrub is applied to exfoliate tired, dead skin cells. This will speed up the skin renewal process, allowing new healthy cells to take their place.

Next, soft, hot towels and compressions are applied. “This is step is done to dilate the blood vessels and help with absorption of the essential oil application during the massage that comes next. And it will be heaven,” says Klasa.

The full body massage begins with a fresh essential oil blend of orange, tangerine, mandarin, grapefruit, lemon, and spearmint. “It is a relaxing, calming blend that's rich in powerful antioxidant d-limonene. It supports the immune system and overall health while bringing about a sense of well-being, creativity, and feelings of joy,” says Klasa.

Finally the crushed pearl body cream is applied to the back, hands and feet. “Formulated with nourishing oils and crushed freshwater pearls, this luscious moisturizer harnesses the power of real orchids. It’s all you need for silky soft, beautifully smooth skin,” says Klasa

COST: $190, Wednesdays only
