SiSpa at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa in Florida capitalizes on the natural attractions of its coastal locale by offering services that mimic beachside benefits.

"Because our Resort Spa is located seaside, there are direct parallels between the benefits of this treatment and those that many beach-goers are seeking," says Jacquee Thompson, area manager at SiSpa Pompano Beach. "Sea water replenishes the skin with minerals, improves its hydration and appearance, and heals damaged or irritated skin. SiSpa gives guests the opportunity to receive the many benefits of a day at the sea in the form of a luxurious spa treatment. This in turns draws guests into SiSpa."

PROCESS: The treatment begins with a scent selection and inhalation to encourage relaxation. The creamy body scrub is applied to the body and buffed off with warm towels to exfoliate by removing dead surface cells. Next, remineralizing gel is applied and the guest is wrapped in a warm cocoon to allow the trace minerals from the salt water-based gel to absorb into the body. While the guest is wrapped up, a scalp and foot massage is performed. Post-shower, oil is applied to ensure hydration, followed by a massage.
