What is your most popular color education class or experience?
The Olaplex World Tour featuring Guy Tang has been our most popular experience/class to date. In large venues throughout the world including the U.K., Sweden, Finland, Norway, Russia, Chile and Germany, we have packed rooms with upwards of 1,500 people. Tang shares his experience with Olaplex and his latest techniques involving the crowd and working to build the “Hairbesties” movement. These events share our love of Olaplex, the beauty industry and stylists worldwide. We have more planned for this year, beginning with an event in France.
What would most surprise colorists about Olaplex’s color education?
Our education has been primarily web-based since the very beginning. As education is making a shift now in regards to availability and accessibility, we wanted this to be an easy tool that any stylist worldwide could access. This foundation has helped more than 300,000 salons utilize Olaplex on a daily basis with more than 60 million applications.
What education and resources can a salon or solo artist expect to receive immediately, and then over the first six months, after switching to or adding Olaplex?
Olaplex education is primarily web-based via our Olaplex App, with more than 50 educational videos. Olaplex Users group on Facebook has more than 40,000 members where users can interact with one another and ask questions. Our Olaplex YouTube channel provides webinars with tips, tricks and technical education. We are in the process of creating an in-person education outreach program to roll out in the next few months.

We provide how-tos, formulas and feature our stylists worldwide via all of our social media accounts. As a social media-driven brand, we want this information to be easily accessible for all.
What products or range of color is generating the most buzz heading into fall?
Olaplex, even two years after launch, is still creating buzz worldwide. If you look on Instagram right now, you will see more than 1.67 million #olaplex photos demonstrating the latest talent and transformations from around the world. From black to white, curly to straight, damaged the beautiful, this collective hairdressing community showcases their amazing talents with all chemical services utilizing Olaplex to help change what is possible for clients and consumers. Beyond that, Bondshaper, a new chemistry that will revolutionize working with hair texture, will again change what is possible in our industry.

Our new initiatives include creating more content for our Olaplex App and blog as well as launching an in-person education outreach team. We realize that social media is highly effective, however, we want to welcome every stylist into the Olaplex revolution, which requires face-to-face education as well as support. We have a very high response rate and personal service on web, email and phone.
