Click, click! We know your manicured fingertips are always snapping pics, so why not put those selfies and creative shots to good use? We’re fans of the power of storytelling, so you better believe we’re taking advantage of the new Facebook app update.

Facebook just rolled out a new smartphone app feature that allows you to upload pictures in real time. Sure, this feature has been around for years, but the unique thing about this update is that it lets you upload stories, which is different than uploading pictures to albums.

So what’s a story vs. and album? With Facebook’s new feature you can rearrange photos and add an introduction to your story, as well as captions, locations and tags to each photo, before you click upload.

You can tell your story in a different order by clicking and dragging the photos to a different place in the collage. It allows for creativity and customization, and makes it super easy to share quick, exciting moments on social media.

Once uploaded to Facebook, the photos will appear in a collage format. Your salon’s Facebook fans can scroll through your photos as if they’re looking through a story, just like on Snapchat. Simply download Facebook on the iPhone or Android app or update your app if you have it already downloaded.

It’s more important than ever to have visuals on Facebook, especially if you manage your salon’s page. So what does this new feature mean for your business?

It’s true what they say about pictures being worth a thousand words. Photo posts account for most of the engaging posts on Facebook and they receive many more comments and likes.

So if you’re hosting a Thanksgiving office party, starting remodeling projects or attending a behind-the-scenes event, start snapping some photos and post them to Facebook! It’s now easier than ever to share your story, what are you waiting for?

As always, if you have questions don’t hesitate to connect!
