In 2022, Barbercon will visit New York/New Jersey, Dallas, Los Angeles and Atlanta. The festival-like event includes hair education, product demonstrations, the Marketplace, the Barber Battle and the Barbercon Awards.

Barbercon will appear in four cities in 2022--New York/New Jersey, Dallas, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Barbercon 2022 officially kicks off July 17 with its New York/New Jersey event held at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Subsequent events occur in Dallas on September 25; in Los Angeles on October 23; and in Atlanta on November 20.
Barbercon is a premiere global festival for the barbering community. Launched in 2016 by Lee Resnick as the live networking event for Barbershopconnect, the first social site exclusively for barbers, Barbercon brings together thousands of high- profile barbers, cosmetologists and brands from around the world. 2022 will be the biggest and most dynamic Barbercon to date, including three stages for live hair tutorials and product demonstrations, the Barber Battle, an even larger Barbercon Marketplace, intimate education classes and workshops and the prestigious Barbercon Awards.
“Barbercon is dedicated to bridging the gap between cosmetology and barbering—it's a place where those two communities can come together and learn from each other,” Resnick says. “It’s not a trade show, it’s more of an experience that is about celebrating the barbering craft and the people who are in it.”
Classes at the NY/NJ event will be taught by Danny Amorim from Andis Company; Sofie Pok of BabylissPRO; Pati Plymire of Style Factor; Candice Ryan of Bevel; Willis the Barber of Squire; Patrick Loyal and Rory Sevajian of Hattori Hanzo; John Carlo Ramos of Wahl; Victor Hugo and Adriana Fournier of American Crew; J Valentin of Red Pro; Hov of Layrite; Julius Caesar of STMNT Grooming; The Barber Guru of City Image Barbershop; Cassondra Kurtz of Schedulicity; and 1Nito_ of Classic Barber Products.
One of the most exciting new features of Barbercon will be the first ever outdoor festival area. Attendees will experience artisanal food trucks, an outdoor bar, unique vendors, and outdoor stage with fresh new content, DJs, games and more.
More than 50 high-profile barbers from around the world will be executing hair demonstrations across three stages. Brand representatives from all the event sponsors will introduce and showcase their products with onstage demonstrations.
In addition, the prestigious Barbercon Awards, presented by Barbershopconnect; honor barbers who are doing incredible work within the community. Categories range from Icon Award; Best Female Barber; Life Time Achievement; Best Fade No Filter; The Love of the Craft; and more.
