Milady, part of Cengage Learning, and the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) announced that the 2016 N.F. Cimaglia Award has been presented to Sally Samuels, director of compliance at FAME Inc.

Milady, part of Cengage Learning, and the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) have named FAME Inc. Director of Compliance Sally Samuels as 2016 N.F. Cimaglia Award recipient. The award was presented on Nov. 6, 2016, at the AACS convention in Orlando, Florida.
Samuels is an authority on federal financial aid administration and has 37 more years experience in that field. She regularly speaks at cosmetology school, accrediting, regional and state conferences and acts as a school liaison during program reviews and compliance audits.
The AACS Past President's Club established the N.F. Cimaglia Award in 1975 to recgonize individuals who demonstrate continuous, outstanding service in the beauty industry and in cosmetology education.
To be eligible, candidates must either be a board member of the All American Beauty Culture Schools Associated, National-American Cosmetology Schools or of AACS, a past AACS president or have at least 25 continuous years in the industry. The 2016 award was underwritten by Milady.
Additionally, Milady's Gerard McAvey was presented with the AACS Spirit of Service Award at the AACS convention.
