Vish Hits 3-Million Mark in Colorists' Formulas

The number of formulas mixed using Vish Color Management has almost doubled in just six months, to more than 3 million, according to the company. By using Vish, thousand of stylists support their creativity while slashing their color costs by limiting over-dispensing and waste of color.

“As of January this year, more than 1 million formulas had been mixed using Vish, reducing product costs per service and pushing up profits for Vish clients,” says Joshua Howard, Vish co-founder and CEO. “Since January, that figure has nearly doubled to 3.2 million formulas mixed by stylists in the system. That’s 1.5 million in six months, all helping to drive up color profitability for the stylist and salon. Fantastic news for the industry, salons, and the planet.”

Stats from Vish show that when stylists use the Bluetooth scale and Vish iPad app to mix their formulas, expensive waste is eradicated with every extra gram of color mixed triggering a charge for extra color beyond included amounts, generating a new revenue stream that is precise and transparent. Meanwhile, close monitoring of color usage means salons can reduce their spend on inventory but still return bigger profits.

“As a growing salon, we are experiencing tremendous growth,” reports Joelle Leigh, owner of Glam at the Grove, Thornton, CO. “We are up 58 percent in color services alone, while our color orders are down 35 percent.”
