Ms. Jercha also works with manufacturing and distribution companies offering Corporate Operational Consulting by working with key department heads to create their Strategic Sustainability Plan and offer education to their salon/spa accounts. Consultation is done in person or by phone, depending on the needs and location of the client. Clients may be at different stages of implementing sustainability practices, from transforming their existing business to starting from scratch at the planning stage. Fees are hourly or project-based, depending on the scope of the project. Members of the National Association of Eco-Friendly Salons & Spas receive fee discounts.

WORDS OF WISDOM: Don’t let the uncertainty of where to start leave you paralyzed. Sustainability is a journey not a destination. An eco-friendly salon or spa is not an oxymoron.

BETTER BOTTOM LINE IN 2013: Increase water heater efficiency by reducing heat loss. Purchasing a water heater blanket can reduce heat loss by 25-40 percent.
