Every year for the salon’s holiday party, Gassaway creates a slideshow featuring images of the entire staff and showcases some of the team’s best moments of the year. “There are always tears shed, and it leaves everyone with a feeling of, ‘This is a really special place to work,’” Gassaway says.
This year, the salon took this idea and translated it into a recruiting video to use when they speak to students and to share online. “It’s been a huge hit, with more than 300 views, and we got about a dozen employment inquiries within the first 48 hours it was posted!”
