Give Us A Kiss

Three locations in Nashville, Tennessee
Owned by: Jón and Alan Snetman

For Valentine’s Day 2014, Aveda ran a national campaign called “Give Us an #Avedakiss.” Social media followers were asked to show off their favorite lip color in a tagged selfie for a chance to win the new Culture Clash makeup collection.

In order to incorporate the idea into its own campaign, Jón Alan Salons created their own Give Us a Kiss campaign. The Snetmans developed kiss entry cards, then invited guests to try one of the new shades, kiss an entry form, and take a selfie, then drop the form in a drawing to be considered for a lip color of their choice.

“It was so popular, we actually ran out of kiss cards,” Jón Snetman says. “We even had male guests doing it so they could win a lip color for their significant other. Talk about a romantic Valentine’s Day act!”
