The Quarterly
J. Henry Salon, Inc., Portland, Maine
Owned by: Jaison Henry, Cynthia Brainerd, Adam Huntley

J. Henry’s e-mail newsletter is something that has grown over the past three years from a single page to a digital magazine that the salon calls The Quarterly. The magazine informs guests of happenings over the past quarter—education, events, new product releases, team member promotions, new hires, seasonal must-haves, and styling tips and tricks from the team. It even has a letter from the editor, product “advertisements” and a table of contents.

“The newsletter has become a huge point of conversation in the salon,” Henry says. “We have guests asking about our upcoming events they have read about, purchasing products they have seen, and sharing The Quarterly with their friends.”
