Say Hey
Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes
Denver, Colorado
Owned by: Dale Lemonds

A social media practice that has become a hallmark of the Inspire Greatness Institute’s Facebook pages is its “Say Hey” introduction campaign. When a new student enrolls and signs their contract, they are invited to fill out a set of get-to-know-you questions and submit a favorite photo of themselves.

“In addition to sending the information to the institute’s team and fellow classmates via email, we started posting the ‘Say Hey’ photo and info to Facebook as a way to celebrate the new student,” Lemonds says.

To incentivize the new student to share their ‘Say Hey’ with friends, the school offers them $50 in retail if they receive more than 100 likes on the school’s Facebook page. “This not only increases our fan base—it also attracts new leads and guests,” Lemonds says. “Additionally, supportive comments reinforce the student’s decision to enroll.”
