Atelier’s 2014 Valentine’s campaign, 100% Love, Zero Calories, was a creative way for the salon to simultaneously encourage gift card sales while promoting color services.

Bennett worked with Imaginal Marketing to design an online campaign using three Aveda hair color models—brunette, redhead, and blonde—but identified them by the traditional Valentine’s delicacies of chocolate, strawberry and champagne. The offer was for a $20 gift of retail products with every $100 gift card purchase. The campaign cost $775 to produce an ecard that linked back to the salon’s site and was blasted to the salon’s database via Demandforce, a promotional page featured on the website, a Facebook page and cover images for Facebook and the website.

“We had great results, with 35 booked appointments responsible for direct revenue of $3,212, as well as the sale of $1,200 worth of gift cards sold,” Bennett says.
