A pair of tufted white leather concierge stations welcome guests with a modern luxurious flair.
A quiet feeling of simple sophistication envelops guests who enter Stella and Shay Beauty Bar in Westlake, Ohio. Attendants at a pair of beautifully upholstered, tufted concierge stations help guests check in, while an accent wall covered in a bead-like texture enhanced with glitter beckons them with a taste of the pampering they’ll soon receive.
Throughout the salon, a high-contrast color palette of blush, rose gold, white and gray adds glamour and drama, while the uniquely curved station mirrors soften the space. Sconce lighting on each side of the mirrors puts the focus squarely on the guest.

“Our lighting was designed to help with productivity and profitability,” says owner Rebecca Miller. “We specified LED color-corrective lighting that conserved energy and reduced electrical costs, while helping us produce high-quality color results.”
The Nail Lounge encourages groups to socialize. A large, L-shaped pedicure bench overlooks the sectional seating for manicures. A private color-processing area with fully upholstered, built-in lounge seating offers clients both comfort and privacy.
“The biggest challenge we faced was implementing a new design into an already existing salon while adding almost 100% more square footage,” Miller says. “But we overcame it by working with the contractor, designer and construction team on a planned schedule that everyone adhered to.”
The curved and beveled station mirrors put the client on center stage.
