Like A GentlemanBarbershop is a newly-opened barbershop brought to you by Horse & Carriage Hospitality founders Sylvain Bitton, JT Torregiani and David Jarrett.
Located at what was once the London Fog nightclub on Sunset Boulevard, where The Doors served as the house band in the ‘60s, Like A Gentleman Barbershop is a distinctive addition to LA’s hospitality scene.
This far from traditional, modern day barber salon showcases custom-made decor and grooming services that will allow an ordinary man to leave looking and feeling like a true gentleman.
Spearheaded by Bitton, Torregiani and Jarrett, the design of the barbershop was curated by the esteemed Horse & Carriage Hospitality partners. They have completely revamped the space and have transformed it into a sexy, yet unique, establishment that is fully-customized like a made-to- measure suit.
The barbershop’s interior features vibrant peach-colored walls, exposed ceilings and polished concrete floors. There are also 8 custom-rebuilt vintage barber chairs featuring button-tufted navy blue leather upholstery and chrome hardware for customers to be groomed and pampered in style.
A one-of-a-kind, hand-carved and distressed wooden barber pole is beautifully showcased in front of the shop.
Additional features include a “friends of ours” wall (above - a Mafia term meaning “he’s good”), which showcases a curated collection of brands produced by the partners’ comrades, friends and other local entrepreneurs, and the restroom, also known as “Le Pissoir”, features flamingo-print wallpaper and a spa-like atmosphere allowing patrons to ‘freshen up’ with a wide array of toiletries (below).
Like A Gentleman Barbershop’s menu, curated by celebrity barber Mikey Caputo, includes classic and modern cuts and buzzes, straight razor shaves and beard trims, and styling services. His fresh, inventive and upscale approach to barbering provides customers with a memorable experience through his creative technique, unforgettable presentation and aesthetically ‘over-the-top’ delivery.
