I am known for: The total makeover: cut, color and makeup

I would love to makeover: Kelly Ann Conway

Favorite item in my wardrobe: Fine jewelry

Favorite accessory: Highlights

If I hadn’t become a salon professional I would have: Become a doctor

Most people would be surprised that: I am a third-generation hairdresser

My guilty pleasure: Expensive French wine

For inspiration I: Travel

Best piece of advice I ever received: That success is not a straight trajectory upward, it's a windy road, loaded with peaks,  alleys, and plenty of potholes. But often the most difficult roads lead to the most beautiful destinations.

My mentor: My husband Arik.

My style icon: It would be hard to have to choose just one.

My best vacation: India

Every beauty professional should: Realize that they’re a walking billboard for our craft and present themselves as such - hair, makeup and wardrobe. Imagine going to a dentist who has yellow teeth!

My secret weapon: My background in art school. Hair is a matter of shape and color, just as any other object, yet it MOVES!

I relax by: cooking and eating by the fireplace

Shout out to someone who helped me along the way: Martha Stewart, a long-time friend and client who was the first to put beauty education on the radio. I was blessed with my own show on Sirius XM for and regular segments on television.

My goal as a professional: Having the time to give to those in need, not just monetarily but with my time. Owning a business has consumed me.

The coolest look I ever created: Working for years early in my career with a fine-art photographer, Amy Guip, pushed me to my limits while creating exciting looks for different ad campaigns.

I became a salon professional because: I didn't really think much about it. I feel it chose me and I did not have much say in the matter. I loved it immediately!

I am most proud of: My beautiful home in Bedford, NY

For fun I: Go salsa dancing with my husband.

Favorite place on earth: Tuscany, Italy

My favorite styling trick or tip: Don't compress the hair with so much heat! Allow some air in the hair for natural fullness. Your clients will thank you.

The one tool or product I use most often:  Rose Baume by Leonor Greyl

The talent I would most like to have is: To be able to sing

The one word or phrase I overuse: When you don't know, don't go!

My motto: When you stop learning, you stop caring.
