Before and after. New COLOR.ME Gloss from Kevin Murphy is a multi-tasking demi-permanent that makes hair stronger, thicker and more nourished as it deposits pigment.
If you were to create the demi-permanent color of your dreams--anything goes, no holds barred--what would you come up with? Definitely a goof-proof formula that accomplishes all your demi services with ease, including lowlighting, refreshing and toning. And how about if it also made the hair stronger and shinier and more moisturized? And what the heck, let’s throw in a bond repair component. Leave out the harsh stuff like ammonia, MEA and PPD and bring in nourishing plant extracts to create a completely vegan formula. Well guess what? It’s no longer a dream. The new Kevin Murphy COLOR.ME Gloss ticks all those boxes and then some. “I’ve been in hair care for 26 years,” says Australian Hair Fashion Awards Winner and Kevin Murphy Global Design Director Kate Reid, “and I know we don’t often see truly revolutionary products. I can honestly say COLOR.ME Gloss sets a benchmark for innovation.”
The COLOR.ME Gloss system offers incremental strengthening with every use. The wide shade range and natural ingredients are versatile enough for every client.
Color + Strength + Shine
Can you truly get all of the above—brilliant color, restored strength and dazzling shine--in a demi? With COLOR.ME Gloss you sure can! “This is color with benefits,” says Reid.

One of the most important features is the new KM.BOND², an advanced plant origin protein complex that creates new hair bonds inside the hair. It’s made up of amino acids, peptides and a hybrid copolymer. It is produced using protein-rich superfoods including rice, lentil, soy and quinoa. The proteins from these superfoods are hydrolyzed to created smaller molecules that penetrate the hair fiber for repairing benefits. These mighty little molecules create new hair bonds in the hair cortex and cuticle layer, resulting in thicker, stronger and healthier looking hair in just five minutes. You’ll notice its hair refilling effect--37% thicker hair, and 25 percent stronger hair--after just one use on pre-lightened hair. What’s more, the strengthening is incremental—it builds upon itself after every application.
Explore the COLOR.ME Gloss story.
COLOR.ME Gloss doesn’t stop at bonding with the TLC for your clients’ hair. It also contains Vitamin C, a natural antioxidant that enhances the purity of the color and creates bright, clean color results as well as panthenol for deep hydration, and omegas 3.6 and 9 to soften the hair and create mega-watt shine. “We’re hearing many positive things from users about the product’s new moisture lock technology,” says Reid. “As we know, porous hair soaks up water and causes color to look flat and uneven. COLOR.ME Gloss takes hair back to a hydrophobic state which repels moisture.”
COLOR.ME rose gold. @colorme.josipmirkovic applied COLOR.ME Gloss 7.65 + 8.4 + CLEAR over pre-lightened hair to create this modern rosy tone.
So where does COLOR.ME Gloss fit into your color world in the salon? Almost everywhere! “Use it to tone, lowlight and treat the hair,” says Reid. “Use it for root taps, root stretches, refining, pastelizing, color correction, glazing and refreshing ends.”

COLOR.ME Gloss currently comes in 30 shades and all are intermixable. Reid calls out 10.8, a level 10 violet that is fast-becoming the superstar of the line, as well as Clear which can be used strictly as a treatment as well as a mix-in to create pastel tones. The demi can be applied to damp or dry hair using a bowl and brush or a bottle. Use it with the dedicated GEL.ACTIVAOR in a 1:2 mixing ratio and process 20 minutes. Like most demis, it lasts for 15 or more washes before gradually fading.
The benefits of COLOR.ME Gloss can also extend to your bottom line in the salon. “This is a superior product,” advises Reid, “so we would look to charge a little bit more. Perhaps 10 or 20 percent more than your standard toning price to account for the additional treatment benefits.”
Another color plus treatment transformation with COLOR.ME Gloss, creating stronger, thicker texture and adding healthy-looking shine.
All The Love for Mother Earth
This new product doesn’t just bring the love for your business and your client’s hair, it’s also reverential when it comes to the planet. Specifically, it comes in recycled plastic bottles, manufactured via energy-saving processes. Everything is mixed and bottled with 100 percent renewable energy. And the formulas are biodegradable and vegan. All in all, its’ a completely eco-respectful addition to any salon color portfolio.
