Having the Right Tools Can Help You Succeed as a Salon Owner

It's no secret that MODERN SALON is a fan of the ever-spunky and totally genuine Erin Mills. The Orlando-based artist is known for her beautifully bright Florida blondes, but she's also made a name for herself as an educator and, most recently, a salon owner.

When Mills opened up Theory Salon in September of 2019, there were many obstacles to face and decisions to be made. True to Mills' spirit, the salon was founded on the idea of empowering others by making them look and feel beautiful.

"Being a salon owner and have the best tools to use in my space is a must," Mills says. "Our salon's reputation is only as good as the hair that leaves it, and we can only do great work with the right tools."

Mills says one way she's able to provide a better overall guest expereince is connecting with each guest through conversation. Previously, Mills says services such as blowouts made this goal difficult because of the sound volume of dryers. That's why Mills implemented the use of Dyson's Supersonic(tm) Hair Dryer Professional Edition for Theory Salon.

"Not only can I connect with my guests through easier conversation thanks to the Supersonic, but I can also ensure their hair is healthy and shiny," Mills says. "The Supersonic's heat technology leaves hair healthier and also cuts my drying time down."

With the use of the Supersonic, Mills and her team at Theory are able to make more money due to shorter blowout time. This leads to more free time to pamper guests or to book additional guests in the time saved.

"It makes the salon and my team more successful and happier," Mills says. "There's really nothing like it. What more could you ask for as an owner."
