Spring is here and you’re ready for a new look in the salon. But you’re not quite ready for a full-on remodel. Here are a few tips on how to freshen up your décor without breaking the bank.

• Pull out the paint. It’s easy, it makes a big difference and it’s cheap! Consult an interior designer or visit a paint store to get a feel for the latest décor color trends.

• Change up your artwork. Artwork can be pricey, but it can also be very affordable. Find local artists and offer your salon walls as gallery space. Artwork can rotate and you and the artists benefit, not to mention your clients!

• Makeover your waiting area. Are your waiting area chairs starting to look a little dated? Get them reupholstered or spring for new ones and a new table to match.

• Get inspired! If you are going to wait until you are ready for the full remodel, make sure you check out Salon Today’s June Salons of the Year issue. We’ll have 20 of the newest, most beautiful salons in the country! These salons will inspire ideas with the most current furnishings, décor and equipment.
