Have you taken a look at your service menu lately?  As new techniques have become trends, our color menus now rival the best Greek diner in town!

Let’s simplify our menu, make communication with our clients easier and increase our profits just in time for blonding season with three simple steps.

1. Keep Blonding Simple.

Focus on four key services, make it easy to recommend, explain & book.

  • Hilites: traditional foil or balayage highlights.

  • Specialty or Multi-Technique Hilites: everything else; foilayage, babylights, ombre etc.

  • Double Process: 5 weeks or less regrowth

  • Double Process+: 5-8 weeks of regrowth

  • Platinum Card – darker than a level 5 OR more than 8 weeks of regrowth

2. Charge Your Worth, While Making it Easy for the Client.

No matter the path you take to get there, your time is money, think about is this a two-, three-, four- or five-hour experience and what’s the value of that time.

Consider ALL-IN bundling blonding services, it creates an added value experience.

Value is relative, and we don’t mean discount. In fact, we mean raise your prices while making the experience easier for the client. It’s now about the result, not the steps of the process.

How much of a price increase?First, account for what’s gone all-in; i.e. glaze or bond builder. Next raise your prices, we recommend basic blonding services increase by 20% and specialty by up to 40%.

Clients pay for convenience; there is no more debate about what they need and what it costs. They enjoy your undivided attention and the luxury of whatever they need is included--it makes it simple.

3. Refresh & Renew Services Revive Frequency

Clients have learned how to stretch their visits even more this year.  Get strategic and identify where your clients continue to stretch visits and add a Refresh & Renew Service.  Love balayage? Try a Sparkle & Shine Blowout to get that long hair balayage client back in for a glaze & blowout in 4-6 weeks, doubling their typical frequency.
