The race to win an incredible $28,000 Vish Color Bar Makeover has entered its final stages with just three salons left battling for the ultimate prize. More than 1,500 salons jumped at the chance of winning a personalized color bar rebuild and inventory restock, along with the Gift of Vish, but only one will see it materialize in their salon. Now it’s up to you to choose who it should be. Polling runs from October 15-20th, giving you just six days to vote.
“The number of entrants has been staggering,” said Joshua Howard, CEO of Vish, the color management software pioneer revolutionizing the industry. “Thank you to everyone who shared their unique stories and photos of their salons. Landing on the three finalists was a difficult decision and now with the top three, we’re excited to open voting to our amazing community to help determine the winner of a beautiful new color bar with the technological support to boost their business.”
Meet the finalists (in alphabetical order):
With more than 45 years in business, Alessandro is a well-loved salon in St. Catharines with a great team that gives back to the community through charity work and support for clients. But with a color bar as old as the business, owner Rachel Fortino sees winning this competition as a reward for the team. “They did a great job on the color bar when the salon opened in 1977 because it’s basically still the same. It’s been at the top of the list of things to redo, but it’s also one of the most expensive and we’ve had to invest in the structure of the business. We would love to be able to offer our team a new color bar so they can create beautiful hair in an efficient and functional space."
At just one year younger than Alessandro Salon, Arizona Hair Co. in Queen Creek is so busy it has more stylists than chairs and is in need of some serious TLC. Says owner Michelle Pachter: “The team is crammed into this tiny space, trying to mix colors all day long. So I thought it would be really fantastic if I could reward their hard work with this beautiful new color bar and expand the space a little bit, and at the same time introduce Vish and make life easier for my busy team.”
When Salon Fusion owner, Alisha Helset, saw the Vish color bar makeover giveaway, she was all in. “Our color bar area is very basic. When we moved into the space, we just used what was already there as a new color bar wasn’t in the budget. It’s very dated and needs a refresh! Somewhere super nice and organized for the team to mix color would be so good for them and the business.”

Partnering with Minerva Beauty, a premier supplier of professional salon equipment, furnishings, and supplies, Vish will deliver the ultimate color bar with a color inventory restock (valued at $5,000) to replenish the new shelves, and, of course, the Gift of Vish, the complete system with iPad, scales, stands, mixing mats, setup, onsite team training, and 1:1 coaching; together worth an incredible $28,000.
Within the first 60 - 90 days, the winning salon could see as much as an 80% reduction in product waste, with a 15-20% increase in service revenue. Vish will provide full training and support to help the team implement the color management system that records formulas, captures all services, tracks performance, and helps price services for sustained success.
