Domestic Abuse in the Salon: PBA Working to Cut it Out

Cut It Out
Probeauty.org/endabuse
Each October, salons across the country participate in the Professional Beauty Association’s CUT IT OUT: Salons Against Domestic Abuse and the CUT IT OUT Give the Power Back Drive to help raise awareness and funding to stop domestic violence. CUT IT OUT is an ongoing effort that builds awareness through complimentary display materials, trains salon professionals to recognize the warning signs of abuse, and safely help clients, colleagues, friends and family find local resources. CUT IT OUT’s Give the Power Back Drive is an opportunity for salon owners and beauty professionals to host a fund-raiser. Pins with purple awareness ribbons from Great Clips, a premium sponsor of CUT IT OUT, also are available and can be sold as an additional way to raise funds.
