Beauty Restores Foundation

In 2010, the Geno Levi Salon in McMurray, PA, received its 501(C) (3) status for its “Beauty Restores Foundation,” a private, non-profit corporation that provides support for rescue missions in the community by funding recovery and life-skills programs for the homeless. The salon donates 2 percent of gross retail sales of its private-label products to the foundation and sponsors annual ‘graduation’ celebration ceremonies at two local rescue missions. The foundation developed a volunteer program called the ‘kaleidoscope experiment,’ allowing high school students an opportunity to serve at the rescue missions. And, the foundation partners with local businesses to raise scholarship money for teens based on their service hours, awarding ‘mirror’ scholarships to homeless persons graduating from the rescue mission programs. The foundation is seeking opportunities to partner with other companies in this 360-degree circle of hope for the homeless.
