KEVIN.MURPHY Strengthens New England Presence Through New Partnership with Sullivan Beauty
Bringing global haircare authority closer to the chair, the partnership marks a renewed investment in New England's salons and stylists.
The YUME Espoir model by Takara Belmont has a sleek, slim body that invites guests to fully recline into comfort. This model includes a fixed shampoo bowl with a chair that lowers and raises with smooth action at the press of a button.

The worldwide trend of head spa services is sweeping the globe. Helping usher them into the United States is Takara Belmont’s recently released “YUME.” Translated loosely to “dream,” it’s easy to see how this chair earned it’s name after just a few months on the market.
“The chair is not only a dream for customers, but also for stylists and salon owners. It creates incredible opportunities like menu expansion, product line development, a unique educational opportunity, and client and stylist retention” said Michelle Koster, National Sales Coordinator at Takara Belmont. “No matter what market you’re in, this unparalleled experience will attract and keep both customers and stylists.”
The YUME Espoir model has a sleek, slim body that invites guests to fully recline into comfort. After laying down with a soft pillow, customers remain in hammock-like comfort for even the lengthiest of hair and scalp services. This model includes a fixed shampoo bowl with a chair that lowers and raises with smooth action at the press of a button. The chair can swivel to the side of the bowl, and stylists can position themselves between the bowl and their guest, allowing for maximum versatility. There’s also a leg apron option that allows it to raise and lower to the customer’s comfort.
Along with this chair is Takara Belmont’s ergonomically designed YUME stool. It’s tiltable movement is designed to relieve stress on the stylist’s spine and other high pressure areas.
Another bragging right of the YUME Spa is the Spa Mist II, which Takara Belmont’s Beauty Product Manager, Daisuke Nakamura, says is the “key ingredient in providing clients with amazing results.”
That’s because the mist heats up to just 40-50 degrees, resulting in minimal hair damage. It also opens the cuticle of the hair, allowing for treatments like conditioning, hair color, and more, to be absorbed effectively.
“Each system transforms the way hair and scalp treatments are performed,” said Steve Hughes, National Sales Manager of Takara Belmont. “With a focus on health and beauty, the system uses our revolutionary technology to help stylists and technicians improve the shine, luster and vibrancy for their clients.”
The YUME Spa System is available in a 3-tier package and will be displayed at various trade shows throughout the year. For more information, contact khensler@takarabelmont.com or visit www.takarabelmont.com.
