Jeff Mason, president of STX Software, LLC, recently announced the release of the company’s much-anticipated cloud-based management and marketing platform. Named STX Beacon, the new platform is anchored by SalesForce, known in software and financial circles as the world’s largest and most-innovative cloud computing company. Traditionally an Apple-exclusive innovator, STX made the move to accommodate demand for STX products by those owning other systems, and to enhance capabilities for developing the company’s first-of-their-kind features.

“We’re thrilled to be introducing Beacon to the salon industry, and thrilled to be partnered with SalesForce for this one-of-a-kind offering,” Mason says. “Beacon brings to the cloud the kind of elegant, easy-to-use software STX has long been noted for, and makes it available on any device, any time, anywhere. Furthermore, it is unique as the only industry software built on the SalesForce platform, making it one of the most secure, reliable, and technologically advanced systems available.”

Beacon contains the full range of features one would expect from STX for the management and marketing of a salon:  Appointment Book; Online Booking; Client History; Payment Acceptance; Text and Email Appointment Reminders; Email Marketing; Inventory Control; Employee Management & Payroll; Rewards; Refer-A-Friend; Customization Options.

Under development for almost two years, the goal for Beacon was to have it embody the company’s tag line of “Manage Simply,” and it features the kind of functionality the industry has come to expect from STX – comprehensive, yet easy to use. Its anchor to the SalesForce platform is a major advantage; a Forbes 'Most Innovative Company' and a Fortune 'Most-Admired Software Company', the union means unsurpassed security, reliability, and innovation.

Beacon comes with a free 30-day trial. For more information about Beacon, contact Diana Mason at 800-766-4778 or email her.

About STX: STX Software, LLC was founded in 1981 as Salon Transcripts and was the first company to automate salon management and marketing. The company has always been the recognized leader in salon management innovation and is based in Orlando, Florida.
