The fifth annual Team-Based Pay Awards were held in late September at the Westin Buckhead Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia. The awards ceremony ran concurrently with StrategiesTeam-Based Pay Conference 2019 at the same location, and were sponsored by Kopsa Otte.

Strategies created the Team-Based Pay Awards to celebrate and honor the superior performance and financial successes of salons, spas and medspas that are currently using Strategies Team-Based Pay compensation program.

"These awards were created to recognize the hard work and successes of the best and brightest Team-Based Pay salon/spa operations. They are a shining example of what can be accomplished when the systems, leadership and team are all team focused, and not I/me/mine focused. It was an absolute honor to showcase these eight inspiring success stories during this year’s Team-Based Pay Conference,” says Eric Ducoff, Strategies’ vice president.

Entrants were required to answer essay questions for each of the eight award categories, as well as provide profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash-flow plans and broadbands for each department.

The Invisible Work of a Rebrand

In this rare essay, the president of a haircare brand takes us behind-the-scenes into a world we never see when we pick up a product off the shelves--the arduous, thought-probing, second-guessing journey of rebranding a legacy product line.
