"The Summer Beauty Camp offers an immersive curriculum that introduces young participants to real-world opportunities with the beauty space—from learning about product formulation and salon operations to makeup application, hairstyling, skincare and even emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) in beauty,” says Michealla Blissett-Williams, owner of [salon}718.

"This camp is more than just a fun, summer activity—it’s a chance to open doors and spark passion for entrepreneurship amongst the next generation. We want to show young people that there is space for them in this industry, regardless of their background,” she continued.

Campers will have the chance to learn directly from [salon]718’s team of seasoned professionals, as well as special guest educators and mentors. Through engaging workshops, live demonstrations and interactive sessions, participants will not only gain technical skills, but also inspiration and insight into the broader business of beauty.

The initiative has been generously sponsored by leading industry partners, including Wella, L’Oréal, Mizani, Goldwell, Rosie, and a leading wax company—each contributing materials, tools and educational resource to enrich the program experience.
