Following Pat Parenty's retirement announcement, L'Oreal USA appoints new leaders within Professional Products Division.
January 30, 2017, L’Oréal USA announced Pat Parenty will retire from his role as President of the Professional Products Division U.S., and that David Greenberg has been appointed to Group President of Professional Products Division North America.
Greenberg has been with the L’Oréal Group since 1993, was the Worldwide General Manager of Matrix in the Professional Products Division, and took on an international assignment as General Manager of the Consumer Products Division within L’Oréal Mexico.
Parenty joined the PPD team in the U.S. in 1997 as Vice President of Sales for Redken before becoming the brand’s General Manager in 2000. In October 2009, Parenty was promoted to President of the U.S. Brands for PPD. In November 2010, Parenty was promoted to President of PPD U.S., where he transformed its business model through the creation of SalonCentric, the national distributer of salon professional products with more than 575 locations in 48 states. In a release distributed to this morning, L'Oreal USA says under Parenty's leadership, the division experienced significant sales growth and optimized new distribution channels to enhance consumer connectivity, and created an inclusive culture that attracted salon professionals and top talent throughout the U.S. market.
In his new position as Group President of Professional Products Division North America, Greenberg and will hold direct responsibility for the division’s U.S. and Canada operations and SalonCentric. In this role, he will continue to grow brand activities across both markets by leveraging SalonCentric and seizing new opportunities to further develop the professional brand portfolio.
