Kevin Murphy Group announced that chief executive officer, Laurent Misischi will transition to the newly created role of chief selective brands & affiliates officer and will become a member of the board of directors. Chairman and co-founder of Kevin.Murphy, Peter McDonald will be appointed global CEO, effective July 1st, 2023.
Since assuming the role of CEO in 2020, Laurent Misischi has led the global business through the uncertainties of COVID-19 and maintained focus on sustainable growth, while opening multiple new global offices.
Under Misisichi’s leadership, Kevin Murphy Group has expanded its portfolio of brands and affiliates, adding Showpony Hair Extensions, Beautyscope, Belludio, and Kevin.Murphy Versailles to its network of affiliates. The new organizational structure, led by Misischi, will support these new company acquisitions and will work toward the shared company vision.

Having a long-standing history with the brand, McDonald met Kevin Murphy in 2004 and helped to develop and grow the Kevin.Murphy brand, as well as establishing the Kevin Murphy Group. McDonald brings extensive experience from the haircare industry and a true passion for people and culture, as well as product innovations and a ‘customer-first’ mindset.
