Who We Are
In 2006, a small group of industry innovators identified an opening in the market: the lack of viable alternatives to the traditional straighteners being used in salons at the time. Working with leading chemists and haircare experts, they realized the key to creating an innovative treatment that was both gentle and effective lay in harnessing the power of keratin, an essential hair protein that delivers incredible benefits, endless versatility and a never-before-seen smoothing effect—all without breaking the bonds of the hair. And thus, Keratin Complex was born. In 2012, Keratin Complex launched Color Therapy, a complete line of professional haircolor inspired by its keratin technology.
First Person
International Artistic Director for Color Deb Gavin shares her perspective on the line, not only as a member of the team, but also as a salon owner carrying Keratin Complex Color Therapy.
Keratin’s the Key
Keratin Complex Color Therapy has wowed me from day one because of its key component, keratin, an important factor in protecting hair while performing any chemical process. It also contains our unique six-liposome complex, including botanicals such as St. John’s wart, ginseng and echinacea, which nourish and boost scalp health and give hair strength, shine and body. My clients see and feel the difference.
Signature Salons
We have the Keratin Complex Signature Salon program, created to ensure salons are set up for success. By partnering with Keratin Complex, salons are provided with a turnkey system that includes our full portfolio of superior products and services, and comprehensive marketing and educational support. This complete program refl ects our commitment to executing 360-degrees of support, offering advanced keratin technology, superior education and training, smart marketing strategies, practical business-building tools, regional and national exposure, and more.
Inspiration Through Education
I try to inspire other colorists not only through the work I do but how I execute that work. It’s important to me, as it is to all of the inspiration team, to share an understanding of the why. To teach a trend or technique is great, but to arm another colorist with a deeper understanding of when to use each product, what one color does compared to another color, and how to enhance head shape and facial features with color placement—that’s what inspires me. Education has the power to open a colorist’s creativity, and only then can they truly grow their business.
