John Amico Haircare is approaching the start of its 51st year of serving salon professionals. With this milestone in mind, the company will host its 36th Annual Chicago, Chicago Convention and educational show on September 22 and 23 at the Oak Lawn (Illinois) Hilton. The event is open to all salon professionals and John Amico School of Cosmetology alumni and students. Company Founder John Amico Sr. promises two days of advanced education, motivation, inspiration and fun.
The event will include a line-up of platform artists, business experts and motivational speakers. “it’s time to reset your goals and improve your life,” says Amico who launched the Chicago, Chicago convention in the 1970s to offer education, stage presentations and an awards ceremony to recognize the company’s successful salon partners.

The first day of Chicago, Chicago will include break-out sessions and main stage performances with platform artists Jamie Carroll of Australia and Corrado Todaro of Italy. The evening events will include cocktails, dinner, entertainment and an awards presentation honoring team members, stylists and students.
Day two will offer more than 20 workshops along with more main stage presentations and educational classes covering a wide range of technical and business topics. On Tuesday September 24, following the convention, participants can attend VIP workshops to become certified in either John Amico Smoothie Keratin or Colorheads.
