The International SPA Association (ISPA) announces the election of five directors to its 2023 ISPA Board of Directors. Three of the newly elected members—Taylor Fields of PCH Hotels and Resorts, Terry Prager of Seed to Skin, and Jennifer Holzworth of Montage International —are new to the board, while Michelle Adams Somerville of The Woodstock Inn & Resort and Jessica Timberlake of Jessica L. Timberlake Consulting are returning to begin new terms.
They join eight board members who will continue in their current terms on the ISPA Board: CG Funk, Massage Heights Corporate LLC; Dawn MacLellan, The Landings Golf & Athletic Club; Barry McCaffrey, BABOR; Charlotte Prescott, Fisher Island Club Spa Internazionale; Kenneth Ryan, Marriott International; Eric Savage, Freedom Spas LLC; Jessica Shea, Hilton; and Todd Shaw,Fountain Life.
The new board members will begin their term when the full board is seated during the 2023 ISPA Conference May 9-11, 2023, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Elected officers of the 2023 Board of Directors are: Patrick Huey of We Care Spa, chair; Kelleye Martin of Trellis, The Spa at The Houstonian, vice chair; and Michelle Adams Somerville of Woodstock Inn & Resort, secretary/treasurer.
“Interest in board service continues to grow each year,” reports ISPA President Lynne McNees, who adds that the board-elect was selected from an impressive slate of candidates following an extensive nomination and interview process. "We are grateful for the commitment made by these volunteer leaders to help guide our association forward and pursue our vision of elevating the spa industry to new heights."
The interview process for the 2024 Board of Directors will launch in early 2024, when a call for candidates will be announced to all ISPA members. ISPA is headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, and managed by Associations International. Learn more at experienceispa.com.
