In a radical departure from the typical approach of concealing secrets of success from competitors, 10 senior executives from the beauty industry’s top salon, spa and barbershop groups will disclose their number one initiative, introduced in the past 12 months and which has revolutionized their business, during the annual International SalonSpa Business Network conference in May. Divulging to their peers how they can achieve the same results, the 10 executives will give members real strategies to roll out initiatives that have proven successful in other multi-location businesses.

The 60-minute exposé will take place in the innovative BIG IDEAS session to be held on the morning of Tuesday, May 7, at the ISBN conference in Florida, which will be followed by Mastermind sharing sessions, also made famous in the beauty industry by ISBN. These crowd-curated discussion groups are led by peers and bound by no rules, so the sharing is unprecedented and truly impactful.

"What do people come to conferences for? To be inspired. And if you come away with a handful of ideas that you can deploy when you settle back at home, you are typically satisfied," explains ISBN Executive Director Valorie Tate. "We wanted to take that further and drop ten of these BIG IDEAS on stage, in rapid succession, before we break into our Mastermind sessions, which will be led by the presenters. Attendees can then discuss the finer details of the programs, touch and explore samples and brainstorm how to utilize them in their own businesses.’

Presenters at this year’s session include Edward Logan from Sports Clips, Debra Penzone from PENZONE Salons + Spas and Emily Brown of V’s Barbershops, plus others, all giving examples of success from across the wide variety of businesses that make up the ISBN membership.

This year ISBN will explore concepts focused on being Catalysts of Change, with a program designed for the top business minds in professional beauty and who can leverage the power of change to spark innovation and deliver equally rapid success in the face of disruption. As well as hosting speakers from the cutting edge of leadership research, who are used to working with top companies such as Facebook, Google, NASA and Pfizer, the event will dedicate equal time to sharing best practice among the executive echelon of the beauty industry.

"The expertise from within the industry is just as amazing as the external expertise brought by our speakers, who include major players in the field of leadership studies, and part of why our members return every year is the balance we maintain between external expertise and the intimate discussions among members," Tate adds.

ISBN’s 2019 conference will take place at the gorgeous Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, Bonita Springs, FL, on May 5-7 and is open to senior leaders of multi-location businesses. The hotel is famed as a retreat where guests can watch dolphins at the beach on a private island, play golf on its stunning green or connect with colleagues in contemporary meeting spaces. The conference opens up with its traditional golf tournament or the option to take a Catamaran Cruise along Naples to meet fellow delegates at the conference.
