This September International SalonSpa Business Network will launch Tour de ISBN, a series of exclusive, behind-the-scenes tours at members’ locations.

The first tour will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Gene Juarez Salon & Spa in Bellevue, WA, where CEO Scott Missad and his team will share the secrets to their success and discuss challenges they are tackling in a workshop-style format, followed by a series of site tours at their premier locations. The Tour will also include a networking reception, giving members time to discuss the most critical issues of running their businesses from retail promotion to wage-and-hour issues and other challenges posed by the government on local, state and federal levels.

“For most of us, thorough learning happens interactively through observation, presentation and Q&A, which will be our format,” Missad says. “All of us at Gene Juarez are honored to be the first stop in the Tour de ISBN.  We will share our primary business practices with presentations by each of our senior leaders. We will also host ISBN members on a tour of our facilities. Most of all, the networking opportunities with other successful salon executives will be huge. I look forward to hosting you in Seattle on September 26.”

Adds ISBN President Rhoda Olsen, “Coming off such a successful conference, and with the rate of change impacting our industry, we agreed that we need to meet in person more than once a year to discuss all of the important issues impacting our businesses. Because the lively discussion stemming from Scott’s breakout on leadership continued throughout our conference, we knew Gene Juarez would be the perfect place to kick off this new program, so we can see his strategies and tactics in action.”

The intimate experience is limited, so register early. Members are encouraged to bring several team members to interact with the Gene Juarez leadership team in their own environment. Attendees will leave with a list of action items that can be discussed in the ISBN forum.

Registration is $300.00 per person. To attend, you must be an ISBN member. Visit http://bit.ly/2s8FssI for more details.

The Invisible Work of a Rebrand

In this rare essay, the president of a haircare brand takes us behind-the-scenes into a world we never see when we pick up a product off the shelves--the arduous, thought-probing, second-guessing journey of rebranding a legacy product line. Not only is her reflection fascinating, but it is also incredibly useful for any salon owner or manufacturer contemplating their own brand.
