You'll see them in live demos, and in educational videos promoting technical skills and product use.

These four stylists were hand selected to become platform artists, educate on exclusive product brands, and to promote Great Clips as the employer of choice. “I joined Design Team Masters to help stylists and future professionals find their passion and grow within our industry,” says Stencel.

The Design Team Masters will develop trend haircut collections that reflect the Great Clips cutting and clipper systems.

“When I start a class, I tell them how I was inspired by others to be myself, and to take a chance…then I ask if they will give me the chance to inspire them,” says Mealey.

Cress adds, “When you love what you do, it makes teaching feel like sharing."

They will show not only the skills at Great Clips salons, but some of the career opportunities available. Great Clips Design Team Masters hopes to influence retention and engagement strategies, and help promote the beauty industry as a whole.

“I believe in working for a company that works together for a common goal. If we work together, we build each other up,” says Skeen.

The Invisible Work of a Rebrand

In this rare essay, the president of a haircare brand takes us behind-the-scenes into a world we never see when we pick up a product off the shelves--the arduous, thought-probing, second-guessing journey of rebranding a legacy product line. Not only is her reflection fascinating, but it is also incredibly useful for any salon owner or manufacturer contemplating their own brand.
