The Brighter Community series developed by Andis Company to bring art and creative inspiration to communities across the country now has its second installment in place. Since March 29, 2022, the colorful beach city of Venice, California, has been treated to a hand-painted mural that encourages people to "create their way” #creatyourway. Earlier this year, the Brighter Community series launched with a first installment in Atlanta, Georgia.
“The Andis Company is excited to bring our Brighter Community series to Venice, California, a city steeped in surf, sport, and car culture,” says Angie Vlasaty Peterson, the company’s Vice President of Marketing. “We know creativity makes the world a better place, and this mural celebrates the vibrancy of our brand's creators, especially the barbers and stylists who create in the shop or salon every day. We created the Brighter Community Series to encourage those creators who are all around us to stand out, make a difference. We hope this mural inspires everyone who walks past it.”
Empowering creativity defines the Andis Company's new mission, vision, and values, spreading the belief that creativity makes the world a better place while encouraging and inspiring all of us to create in our own way. The one-of-a-kind mural now gracing Venice Beach was designed and hand-painted by the team at Mural Art & Consulting and is a colorful depiction of creativity and playfulness that also highlights the brand’s barbering heritage. Andis Company’s iconic Gold Master Cordless Clipper is at the center.
On the day of the mural debut, Andis hosted a pop-up barbershop with three Andis barber/stylists offering complimentary haircuts to the public. The mural will be on display through May 24 at 32 17th Ave in Venice.
