David John takes us on a tour of Serge Normant at John Frieda in West Hollywood on Melrose Place. John, an accomplished stylist and colorist, works at the Melrose location.  Serge Norman, one of fashion’s hairstyling stars, has established three centers of hair goodness-- two in New York City and the one in West Hollywood.

Paparrazzi park across the street hoping for a peek at the celebs that frequent this stylish salon.  Normant’s clients include Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilary Swank, Isabella Rossellini, Kate Hudson, Heather Locklear, Faith Hill, and Elizabeth Hurley.

Once owned by singer/songwriter Neil Diamond, the salon boasts a pool in the center and an enormous skylight that lets the California sun shine through.
