The Business of Hair Color: Seek Color Education

1 min to read

Constantly encourage your color team to advance their skills by seeking color education, and as an owner, look for an educational program that addresses the business side of color as well. Karie Bennett, owner of Atelier Salon and Spa and Atelier Studio in San Jose celebrated her 32 year as a hairdresser this year, but says going through the redCHOCOLATE program opened up her artistic mind in a way a class never has before. The program encourages colorists to go beyond technique to think about the end result and customizing options for individual clients. “It’s a completely new way of doing things, and changes the way your team approaches consultations, sells treatments, price services and markets color, and it gets your team into the art of color,” says Bennett.
