The scent of the juiciest, ripest pear, combined with sugary-sweet marshmallow, and cushioned by an aromatic pillow of cinnamon and cloves. That marriage of scents represents just one of the sensory experiences delivered by the Brandied Pear and Marshmallow Melt Body Treatment from Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.

The special rejuvenating body experience is available for just six months at the brand’s 29 locations nationwide. SALON TODAY recently visited Red Door’s Deerfield, Illinois, spa to find out more about this limited-time service.

DESCRIPTION: “The service starts with an exfoliation with a pear-infused brandy and sea salt scrub, made with California Bartlett pears and rich in Vitamin E rice bran oil,” says Shahira Abadeer, general manager of Red Door’s Deerfield location. “Then, a rich and creamy application of marshmallow shea butter is applied during a targeted, therapeutic body massage, allowing the skin to effectively absorb the nutrients for smoother, toned skin.”

DURATION: 50 Minutes

COST: $135

PRODUCTS USED:  Farmhouse Fresh Pear-infused brandy and sea salt scrub, Farmhouse Fresh Marshmallow Shea Butter

MARKETING:  “Introducing new seasonal service twice a year have been very popular amongst out guests,” Abadeer says. “Our skin transitions with the season so it is important to provide new and effective products and services to continue to provide guests with effective ingredients and scents.”
