At the America’s Beauty Show Leadership Brunch, Paul Dykstra, CEO of America’s Beauty Show (ABS) and America’s Beauty Network (ABN), announced the Global Salon Business Awards, the brainchild of beauty industry icon and Redken founder Paula Kent Meehan, will join ABS in 2010.

In a presentation, Meehan commented that, “while many programs exist to acknowledge the creative artistry of the salon professional, without business skills, creative artistry cannot sustain our industry.”

The Global Salon Business Awards were designed to reward salons for their business acumen. After three very successful, biennial award ceremonies, the Global Salon Business Awards is now acknowledged as a leading program to recognize the salon industry’s contributions to the world of business.

Plans are being finalized for both the Global Salon Business education and awards programs. Details will be available at AmericasBeautyShow.com.
