Makeover: We have a new web server, Heavenspa, that helps us place ads online, and we get an incredible amount of new clients. We even have clients from across the country who find us online, and stop in when they are traveling through town. We average 28 clicks a day on Google.

Why we did it: To recruit new clients and generate publicity.

Impact on the business: We get eight to 10 referrals from the internet, up from one from the Yellow Pages. It makes it much easier to know where to put our advertising dollars.

Salon: Bella Vita Salon and Day Spa, North Andover, Massachusetts

Owners: John and Cheryl Currao

Makeover: Club Bella Vita is our free VIP club that guests can join online. Upon joining, guests receive monthly wellness tips, promotions, coupons and birthday surprises. After-hours make-up classes, wine tastings and cooking classes are also regularly offered, and they are held in our Tranquility Lounge that overlooks a lake.

Why we did it: We wanted clients to sit, relax and explore what Bella Vita is all about!

Impact on the business: It has been wildly successful, and utilized by people all over the United States.
